Welcome to Nyama Catering Ltd ("Nyama", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website, services, quotations, bookings, catering services, mobile bar services, and related offerings.

By requesting a quotation, confirming a booking, paying a deposit, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Us

Nyama Catering Ltd provides live-fire catering, BBQ catering, wedding catering, corporate catering, private event catering, mobile bar services, and related hospitality services throughout England.

2. Quotations

  • All quotations are subject to availability.
  • Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices may be adjusted if event details change after the quotation has been issued.
  • A quotation does not constitute a confirmed booking until the required deposit has been received.

3. Booking Confirmation

  • A booking is considered confirmed only once the required deposit has been received.
  • By paying a deposit, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
  • Dates cannot be guaranteed until the deposit has cleared.

4. Deposits & Payments

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking value is required to secure a date.

  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 24 hours before the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We reserve the right to require full payment before the event date.
  • Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of services.

5. Final Event Details

To ensure smooth delivery of services:

- Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 10 days before the event.
- Menu selections must be confirmed at least 10 days before the event.
- Dietary information must be provided at least 10 days before the event.
- Event timings, venue access information, and setup requirements must be finalised at least 10 days before the event.

Changes requested after this deadline may not be possible and may incur additional charges.

6. Venue Requirements

The client is responsible for ensuring:

  • - Adequate access for catering vehicles and equipment.
    - Sufficient space for catering operations.
    - Access to electricity and water where required.
    - Suitable shelter in adverse weather conditions.
    - Compliance with venue regulations and restrictions.

If venue conditions prevent safe or efficient service delivery, Nyama reserves the right to alter service arrangements accordingly.


7. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

  • We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements communicated in advance.
  • However, all food is prepared in environments where allergens may be present.
  • Guests with severe allergies consume food at their own risk.
  • We cannot guarantee the absence of allergens or cross-contamination.

Clients are responsible for informing guests of this policy.


8. Food Safety

Food served by Nyama is prepared and handled in accordance with applicable UK food safety regulations.

Once food has been served or removed from our supervision:

- The client assumes responsibility for its storage and consumption.
- Nyama accepts no liability for food consumed after the event or after food has been removed from our control.

9. Mobile Bar Services

Where mobile bar services are provided:

- Nyama may require exclusive rights to supply alcohol at the event.
- Guests may be refused service where required by law.
- Proof of age may be requested.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated individuals.
- The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions, licences, or venue approvals unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Travel & Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for:
- Long-distance travel.

Any additional costs will be communicated where reasonably possible.

  • Extended staff hours.
  • Delayed service caused by the client or venue.
  • Difficult access arrangements.
  • Additional equipment requests.
  • Significant changes to guest numbers or event requirements.

11. Equipment

All catering equipment remains the property of Nyama unless otherwise agreed.

The client may be charged for:

Client Cancellations

  • Lost equipment.
  • Damaged equipment.
  • Missing glassware.
  • Equipment damaged through misuse, negligence, or vandalism.
  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • Cancellations made within 10 days of the event may be charged up to 100% of the total booking value due to staffing, purchasing, and preparation commitments.

Postponements

  • Postponements may be treated as cancellations depending on notice period and availability.
  • Any rescheduled event will be subject to current pricing and availability.

13. Force Majeure

Nyama shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather
  • Fire
  • Supply chain disruptions
  • Flood
  • Government action
  • Pandemic restrictions
  • Utility failures
  • Industrial action
  • Road closures

In such circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements where possible.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Nyama's liability shall be limited to the total amount paid for the affected services.
  • We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under English law.

15. Website Use

Users of this website agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes.
  • Attempt to interfere with website functionality.
  • Submit false or misleading information.
  • Reproduce, distribute, or copy website content without permission.

We reserve the right to suspend access where misuse is suspected.
